Forklift Transport on a Flatbed
Forklift towing is the transport of a forklift on a flatbed truck from one location to another. Because forklifts are not built for public roads, they have to ride on a truck. We drive or winch the forklift onto the deck, lower the forks, chock the wheels and chain it down at its tie-down points.
We move common warehouse forklifts, including electric and propane sit-down models and pallet jacks, within the weight range our flatbeds can safely carry. Call with the make, model and weight and we will confirm the job.

- You need to move a forklift to a new warehouse or job site
- A forklift broke down and needs to go to a repair shop
- You bought or sold a used forklift
- You are returning a rental forklift
- A forklift is needed for a one-day event or delivery

Forklift Moves in Dallas
Dallas has warehouses and light industrial buildings in the Design District, near the Trinity River, along Harry Hines Boulevard, in the Cedars and south of Fair Park. Many of these sites have loading docks, tight yards and gates. Tell us if the site has a dock or a ramp, and how far the forklift must move to reach the truck. Electric forklifts should be charged so they can drive onto the deck.
We can schedule early morning or evening moves to avoid busy shift changes and traffic on I-35E and I-30.
What to Expect
- Call (972) 362-1607 with the forklift make, model, weight and both addresses.
- We confirm the truck and set a pickup time.
- On site, we load the forklift, lower the forks and secure it with chains.
- We drive to the drop-off and unload where you need it.
Forklift Towing Cost
The cost of forklift towing depends on weight, distance, loading conditions and timing. A forklift that cannot drive onto the deck takes more time to winch. We quote before we book. Towing in Texas is licensed by the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation.
Forklift Types We Move
- Electric sit-down forklifts: common in warehouses and retail stores.
- Propane forklifts: common in distribution centers and yards. We ask that tanks be closed for transport.
- Pallet jacks and walkie stackers: quick to load and move.
Larger rough terrain and high-capacity forklifts may be outside our weight limit. Share the data plate details so we can confirm.
How to Prepare a Forklift for Transport
- Lower the forks fully and tilt the mast back.
- Close the propane tank valve, or charge the battery for electric units.
- Clear a path from the forklift to where our truck can park.
- Have someone on site who can drive the forklift onto the deck if it runs.
