Roadside Flat Tire Service
A flat tire change is the swap of a flat or damaged tire for your spare. We lift the car with a proper jack, take off the flat, mount the spare and tighten the lug nuts in the right pattern. Then we check the spare's air pressure.
If you do not have a spare, or the spare is flat, we can tow the car to a tire shop with Flatbed Towing.

Signs of a Flat Tire
- The car pulls hard to one side
- You hear flapping or thumping
- The tire pressure light is on
- The tire looks low or the rim sits close to the ground
- You hit a pothole and feel a sharp jolt
Do Not Drive on a Flat
Driving on a flat can ruin the tire, bend the wheel and damage the suspension. Pull off at the next safe spot, turn on your hazard lights and call us. On the highway, stay buckled in your car until we arrive.
Other Roadside Services
We also offer Battery Jump Start, Gas Delivery, Car Lockout and Winch Out. Cars with locking lug nuts and no key may need a tow.
Flat Tires on Dallas Roads
Road work around I-30, I-345 and downtown leaves nails, screws and metal on the road. Potholes after rain and freeze cycles also cause blowouts. In summer, hot pavement raises tire pressure and can make worn tires fail. Check your tire pressure once a month, and check your spare too. Many new cars come with no spare at all, just a repair kit.
What to Expect
- Call (972) 362-1607 and tell us if you have a spare and a lug nut key.
- We arrive, set up safety lights and lift the car.
- We mount the spare and check the pressure.
- You drive to a tire shop for a repair or new tire.
Flat Tire Change Cost
Cost depends on your location, the vehicle and whether we need special tools. If a tow is needed, we quote that too. Ask before we roll.
Spare Tire Types
- Full-size spare: same as your other tires. You can drive normally.
- Compact spare: smaller and lighter. Drive slower and for short trips only.
- No spare: many new cars only have a repair kit. A tow to a tire shop is often the best choice.
Why Choose Dawson for Flat Tire Changes
We set up warning lights, use proper jacks and tighten lug nuts the right way. If the spare is flat or missing, we can tow you on the same call.
